Senior Android Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer in Vietnam to shape Android architecture and raise platform quality at scale. You will own critical domains, improve performance and reliability, strengthen security and guide delivery across squads. You will partner with product and engineering teams to ship modern Android experiences in a fast-paced Agile setup.

Responsibilities

• Define Android architecture standards for navigation, dependency injection, modularity and state management
• Lead cross-squad initiatives spanning offline sync, accessibility, security and performance budgets
• Establish observability through crash analytics, ANR remediation and service-level metrics and run postmortems
• Guide design reviews, coach engineers and align technical plans with Product, Design and Back-end teams
• Oversee release engineering including staged rollouts, feature flags, kill switches and incident response
• Maintain compliance with platform policies and applicable data protection requirements

Requirements

• Kotlin expertise including coroutines and Flow for scalable concurrency
• Jetpack Compose capability with a strong grasp of Android runtime and rendering fundamentals
• Performance optimization skills across jank, garbage collection, memory usage and profiling tools
• Mobile security knowledge including secure storage, encryption, network security configuration and Play Integrity
• Architecture at scale experience with modular patterns and complex Android systems
• Build and release engineering background including Gradle, CI/CD pipelines and automation practices
• Cross-platform collaboration ability across back-end contracts, shared libraries and feature parity
• Clear communication in English with global stakeholders

• Open-source contributions that demonstrate engineering depth
• Conference speaking, mentoring or community leadership
• Experience building custom Gradle plugins or internal developer tooling
