Senior Angular Frontend Developer (Angular 19+)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Angular Frontend Developer to join a digital modernization project for an international banking institution in Lisbon. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience delivering significant Angular projects, strong technical expertise in modern frontend development, and a commitment to building secure, scalable, accessible, and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain frontend applications using Angular 19 or later.

Integrate REST APIs and consume backend services using Angular HttpClient, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.

Apply frontend architecture best practices to ensure maintainability, scalability, code quality, and performance.

Ensure consistent implementation of the organization's design system and UI standards.

Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, PrimeNG, and Bootstrap.

Implement and maintain unit and automated tests using Jasmine, Karma, and Cypress.

Collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Monitor frontend technology trends and propose innovative solutions.

Work autonomously, anticipate technical challenges, and contribute to the overall success of digital transformation projects.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 5 years of professional experience working on significant Angular projects, with Angular 19 or later as a minimum requirement.

Strong knowledge of the Angular ecosystem, including components, modules, services, routing, RxJS, forms, directives, and pipes.

Excellent proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS/SASS.

Practical experience with PrimeNG, Bootstrap, and responsive web design.

Proven experience integrating REST APIs and working with backend services.

Knowledge of frontend design systems, accessibility standards, performance optimization, and maintainable code architecture.

Hands-on experience with Jasmine, Karma, and Cypress for testing.

Familiarity with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Angular CLI, npm/yarn, and browser developer tools.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Requirements

Must have valid documentation authorizing employment in Portugal.

Must be available to work in a hybrid model, attending the Lisbon office two days per week.
