The role
The role leads the development and continuous improvement of Gippsland Water’s asset management framework, systems and practices to support the safe, reliable and sustainable delivery of water and wastewater services. The Senior Asset Engineering Leader provides strategic leadership for asset lifecycle planning, asset information governance and asset management decision-making processes, enabling effective investment, risk management and long-term service outcomes for customers and the community.
What you’ll bring
A degree qualification in engineering
Significant experience in lifecycle asset management within water, wastewater or comparable infrastructure assets.
Strong knowledge of asset management frameworks, condition assessment, risk management, asset performance monitoring and renewal planning.
Experience developing and implementing asset management strategies aligned with recognised standards, including ISO 55000.
Demonstrated leadership capability and experience leading technical teams.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
