As a Clinical Applications Specialist supporting our Surgical Business, you will be trusted to deliver clinical training, technical support and customer education that ensure the safe and effective use of Alcon's surgical technologies. You will work closely with surgeons, operating room staff, sales teams, and field service engineers to drive customer satisfaction and optimal patient outcomes in Toscana Marche Abruzzo ed Emilia. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Providing hands-on clinical training and ongoing education to surgeons and operating room staff on the approved use of Alcon's cataract and refractive surgical device portfolio, ensuring safe and effective product utilization.
• Delivering on-site and remote clinical application support, responding to customer inquiries, troubleshooting clinical and technical issues, and supporting equipment installations and software upgrades in partnership with Field Service Engineers and Sales Representatives.
• Collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure successful adoption of new technologies, while maintaining high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction through proactive support and follow-up.
• Supporting medical congresses, workshops, demonstrations, wet labs, and educational events while gathering and sharing clinical insights that contribute to continuous product and service improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards by documenting site visits, reporting adverse events and device deficiencies, maintaining certifications, and adhering to GxP requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree in Orthoptics, Optometry.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical support, medical devices, healthcare, surgical environments, or a related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience delivering training, education or clinical support to healthcare professionals.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and explain complex surgical technologies and medical devices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively with surgeons, clinical staff, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to compliance, quality, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
• Fluency in the local language; proficiency in English preferred.

Total remuneration consists of the starting pay, plus applicable variable compensation (including bonus) and country-specific subsidized benefits.
Bonus amounts, where applicable, are determined based on factors such as individual performance, job level, and company financial results.
