You've been carrying an urgency to make an impact. Join to give it velocity.
01 THE ROLE
Chemistry is the invisible layer under every critical system, and the supply chain behind it has become a weapon. Ohr makes the molecules that matter most, from the atom up: energetics, propellants, rare-earth extractants and the ignition chemicals already in production today.
Acquisitions are one of Ohr's two engines for growth. We're not simply buying businesses—we're acquiring the industrial infrastructure, qualified production capabilities, and established defense relationships that would otherwise take years to build.
As Senior Associate, Corporate Development, you'll report to the Director of Strategic Initiatives and help build this acquisition engine from the ground up, identifying strategic targets, driving transactions, and translating acquired capabilities into lasting competitive advantage.
This is not a traditional banking or private equity seat. You'll apply rigorous dealmaking to an unconventional industrial strategy where the value of an acquisition extends beyond its existing business to the new molecules, markets, and manufacturing possibilities it unlocks.
THE KIND OF PEOPLE THIS WORK DEMANDS
Our mission demands more than great science. It requires a particular kind of team — visionary builders, hustlers, scientists, operators. Together, we carry both the technical depth to make the chemistry work and the commercial instinct to make the business thrive. People are our engine. Collaboration is our multiplier.
02 WHAT YOU'LL DESIGN AND BUILD
• Lead acquisition workstreams: Own key workstreams across live transactions, from investment thesis and valuation through due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation support. Coordinate finance, legal, technical, and operational teams to keep deals moving with velocity and discipline.
• Source and evaluate strategic acquisitions: Identify and prioritize acquisition targets across licensed manufacturing sites, qualified production lines, and businesses with established defense customers. Evaluate each opportunity for both standalone value and its potential to accelerate Ohr's chemistry platform.
• Drive acquisition value creation: Partner with Strategy & Operations and functional leaders to translate acquisition theses into integration priorities, track value creation, and ensure the strategic rationale behind each deal becomes operational reality.
• Build Ohr's acquisition playbook: Design the frameworks, decision criteria, and repeatable processes that enable Ohr to acquire with speed and discipline. Capture lessons from every transaction and continuously improve how Ohr identifies, evaluates, and executes future acquisitions.
03 WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU
• 3–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction advisory.
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions, including financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
• Strong financial and commercial judgment, with the ability to assess opportunities beyond conventional valuation metrics.
• Ability to lead complex transaction workstreams and coordinate stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
• Clear, compelling communication skills and experience working with executive stakeholders.
• High ownership, exceptional organization, and a bias toward action.
• Interest in or experience with deep tech, chemicals, energy, defense, or industrial markets is a plus.
04 EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE
This role involves access to data and systems subject to U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual as defined under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
05 LOCATION & COMPENSATION
This role is remote but will require some travel (40%–60%). We are committed to developing a sustainable travel model across the team and will be thoughtful when requiring team members to travel, with a focus on travel only for high-value engagements.
The base salary range for this role is $135,000–$165,000.
Ohr offers a competitive benefits package, including:
MEDICAL COVERAGE
A wide range of plans, with many options fully covered for employees and dependents at no cost to the employee.
401(K) WITH MATCH
Employer match up to 4% of eligible compensation.
PAID TIME OFF
Vacation, paid company holidays, and an end-of-year shutdown.
BONUS
Ohr is in the process of developing a bonus program. Once in place, bonuses will be discretionary and tied to individual and company performance.
EQUITY
You're joining at an early and consequential moment in Ohr's growth — equity commensurate with experience, with meaningful upside as we scale.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Ohr is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
