Position: Senior Associate, Impact Fund for Children FLSA Status: Exempt Location: This position may be performed remotely within the United States. Periodic travel to UNICEF USA’s New York City office will be required . Candidates based in the New York metropolitan area are encouraged to apply, and employees who live within reasonable commuting distance of the office may be expected to work onsite more regularly based on business needs. Position Description The Impact Fund for Children is the impact investing affiliate of UNICEF USA, dedicated to developing and deploying innovative finance solutions that advance UNICEF's mission for children worldwide. The Impact Fund's work spans three core areas: The Bridge Fund, an IA 50-recognized impact investment vehicle that accelerates critical funding through direct bridge financing and strategic allocations in UNICEF financing vehicles that address funding timing gaps; The recently launched Catalytic Fund, an emerging strategy that deploys flexible debt and/or equity investments into businesses, funds, and initiatives that improve outcomes for children and addresses financing gaps where traditional capital may be limited, and; Child-lens Investing, a global initiative recognized as one of TIME's Best Inventions in 2024 that seeks to build and scale the field of Child-lens Investing by mobilizing investors to integrate child-related considerations into investment decisions, advancing positive outcomes for children while minimizing harm. The Impact Fund for Children is a close-knit, entrepreneurial team advancing innovative finance solutions that drive outcomes for children worldwide. The Senior Associate plays a critical role in supporting the Impact Fund's investment and operating activities. While serving as a lead resource for financial analysis, transaction diligence, and portfolio monitoring, the role also provides exposure to investor reporting and engagement, board communications and reporting, fund operations, key capital decisions, and strategic initiatives across the Impact Fund platform. Given the team's entrepreneurial structure, the Senior Associate will work closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders, across strategic, operational, and investment decisions that shape the business. Position Responsibilities Investment & Portfolio Activities (70%) Lead financial modeling and analytical workstreams across the Impact Fund portfolio by developing and maintaining transaction models, portfolio-level analyses, and scenario-based models that support transaction sourcing, diligence, execution, and portfolio management. Lead portfolio monitoring across active investments, including tracking financial and impact performance, assessing emerging risks and opportunities, and synthesizing key portfolio insights. Support end-to-end transaction execution across the Bridge Fund and Catalytic Fund including diligence, analysis, and preparation of ‘investment committee’ materials. Support the development and maintenance of pipeline and portfolio management systems to facilitate transaction execution, reporting, and ongoing portfolio oversight. Support fund administration and post-close processes, including executing and tracking legal agreements and key transaction obligations, coordinating interest payments, and supporting ongoing compliance requirements Board and Team Operations (15%) Provide support for Impact Fund Board Meetings by preparing the agenda, coordinating meetings, and developing the presentation materials Lead weekly Impact Fund team meetings including developing agenda and coordinating schedules Assist with the Impact Fund’s annual budget creation and quarterly management Manage the team’s project-related invoices, contracts, and expenses Investor Relations and Communications (15%) Lead development of the Impact Fund’s quarterly and annual investor reports, as well as materials for the Annual investor convening Prepare investor-facing materials for meetings and engagements, including briefing memos, agendas, presentations, and supporting analyses. Support timely responses to ad hoc investor requests, diligence questions, and questionnaires, ensuring materials are accurate, clear, and responsive. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required with 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, credit, venture capital, impact investing, development finance, community development finance, or a related field Demonstrated experience with financial modeling and exposure to underwriting transactions, and investment structuring, including the ability to assess financial performance, risks, and key investment considerations Strong PowerPoint and data visualization skills, with the ability to develop polished, executive-level presentations and investor-facing materials Excellent organizational, interpersonal and relationship management skills Can prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner; able to adapt to changing and competing needs Able to interface with all levels of staff and senior executives both internal and external to the organization while maintaining tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service Ability to be self-directed and work both independently and in a team, ability to follow-through and complete deliverables effectively and efficiently Thoroughness and attention to detail are essential Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience creating with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and designing presentations Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork, and Service
