The role

Our Technology practice is seeking a senior associate with 4–10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Technology (M&A, contracts, IP, data)
  • Venture capital
  • Private equity
  • EU AI Act & NIS2

The successful candidate will work closely with the partners on complex, cross-border or domestic transactions and regulatory compliance projects, taking on a substantive role in both client management and the mentoring of junior associates.


Responsibilities

· Leading due diligence, structuring transactions, and negotiating share purchase agreements,

investment agreements, and shareholders' agreements for private equity / venture capital deals

· Drafting and negotiating technology contracts (SaaS, software development, licensing, cloud,

SLAs)

· Designing and implementing EU AI Act compliance programs (AI readiness cycle, risk

classification, governance)

· Supporting NIS2 compliance programs (risk assessment, incident response, governance)

· Maintaining direct client contact, managing project teams, and mentoring associates

· Participating in business development and leadership initiatives


Required qualifications & skills

· 4–10 years of relevant experience at a law firm in one or more of the above areas

· Demonstrated experience in structuring, negotiating, and drafting complex commercial /

investment agreements

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment

· Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks (AI Act, NIS2, GDPR, Data Act)

· Fluency in English (written and spoken)

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships of trust with clients

· Willingness to mentor junior team members

· Business development mindset
