Job Description: Blake Willson Group is seeking a Senior GAAP Accountant to support financial analysis and cost adjudication across complex contractor cost structures. This role applies GAAP guidance, including ASC 330, ASC 360, ASC 340-40, and ASC 606, to evaluate cost treatments, overhead allocations, capitalization decisions, and WBS-aligned costs. The accountant will support recurring adjudication cycles and develop audit-ready analyses and documentation for Government and program stakeholders. In this position, you will also: Perform technical accounting analysis of cost flows, overhead pools, capitalization, and WBS-aligned costs. Apply applicable GAAP standards to evaluate contractor financial treatments and cost accuracy. Support monthly and quarterly cost adjudication, reconciliation, and financial review activities. Identify and evaluate discrepancies, anomalies, and potential cost misallocations. Prepare clear, audit-ready documentation, technical analyses, and recommendations for KO, PM, DCMA, and legal stakeholders. Communicate complex accounting findings and recommendations to leadership and Government customers. Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 6+ years of accounting experience, including experience supporting a defense contractor or defense manufacturer. 3+ years of experience applying GAAP, including ASC 330, ASC 360, ASC 340-40, and ASC 606, to complex financial and cost structures. 3+ years of experience performing financial analysis, reconciliation, and technical accounting assessments with the ability to clearly communicate complex findings. Desired Skills: Experience supporting defense program finance. Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). Experience using Power BI for financial analysis and reporting. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
