Senior Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to support new product development. You will design, develop and maintain UI and API automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript or JavaScript. You will work closely with developers and delivery teams in an iterative Kanban environment while applying AI-assisted engineering tools to improve test coverage and release quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript or JavaScript
• Build and execute automated API tests using Playwright and relevant testing tools
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end automated testing
• Design reusable automation components and improve overall test coverage
• Investigate test failures, document defects and collaborate with developers on resolution Integrate automated tests into Git-based development and CI/CD workflows
• Use GitHub Copilot and MCP servers to support test development and improve productivity
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders within an iterative Kanban delivery environment

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in web UI and API test automation
• Proficiency in Playwright with either TypeScript or JavaScript
• Strong independent coding capability: while we encourage using AI tools for productivity, you must be able to write, evaluate and troubleshoot code autonomously rather than relying on AI to generate solutions
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable test automation frameworks
• Practical experience developing automated API tests
• Comfortable using GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted test development
• Familiarity with MCP servers and AI-assisted engineering workflows
• Knowledge of Git-based development and CI/CD practices
• Strong English communication skills with the ability to work with regional stakeholder

Nice to have

• Experience with Cucumber and behaviour-driven development
• Performance and load-testing experience using Apache JMeter / K6
• API validation experience using Postman / Playwright
