General Qualifications

• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Azure-native services and best practices.
• Implement and support Azure networking, including VNets, ExpressRoute, VPNs, NSGs, Firewalls, and Private Endpoints.
• Manage Azure identity and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, Conditional Access, and PIM.
• Automate cloud operations using PowerShell, Azure CLI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement security controls, guardrails, and monitoring using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, Sentinel, and Key Vault.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, performance, security, and operational issues in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of Azure engineering experience.
• Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale deployments.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Git-based workflows.
• Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Storage, and Azure networking.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-500.
• Experience with cloud governance, automation, and security in regulated environments.

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, engage with all business and technology teams, our vendors, partners, and brands to develop leading-edge Cloud computing technology solutions based on best practices in business process redesign and virtualization technologies. With limited supervision or oversight, autonomously lead clients, partners, and customers through their Cloud journey, in collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including senior management. The role requires a strong understanding of Cloud computing model, governance model, total cost of ownership (TCO), assessment and migrating applications to the Cloud as well as a strong executive presence.

• With minimal guidance or supervision, facilitates Design & Build sessions, steering cloud configurations and services toward industry-leading cloud practices with your domain expertise.

• Analyze system security vulnerabilities and associated threats and assess the overall security risks to the system using approved software tools; provide mitigation recommendations to reduce identified security risks.

• Frequently learn new technology and solutions with an expectation to quickly guide and even pair with engineers to help the solution and move onto the next project.

Responsibilities

2-5 years of related IT experience.

1 year of experience in Cloud technologies/platforms or focused work within a Cloud platform.

Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, cloud-based identity access and management, security, automation and orchestration.

Possess clear understanding of security protocols and standards and have experience with software and security architectures.

Experience designing and implementing security tests in accordance with stated criteria.

Familiarity with common opensource and enterprise database engines and frameworks including relational and NoSQL. Experience in networking concepts and services (e.g., VPNs, IPsec, PKI and TCP/IP); experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP); familiar with high-availability (HA) and failover implementations for network infrastructure and server systems.
