Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Azure Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in .NET and Microsoft Azure PaaS technologies to join a remote enterprise software development team.

In this role, you will help design, build, and deploy a cloud-native integration platform connecting enterprise applications, on-premises systems, and third-party APIs. You will work closely with a senior architect and a U.S.-based engineering team to implement secure, scalable, and resilient integration solutions using modern Azure technologies.

This is a hands-on engineering role with significant responsibility for Azure platform development, API integration, asynchronous messaging, security and identity, CI/CD, and production-quality software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Integration Development: Design and develop cloud-native integration components using .NET and Azure PaaS technologies.
• Asynchronous Messaging: Build reliable, scalable integration workflows using Azure Service Bus, including queues, message processing, retry handling, and error management.
• Azure Functions: Develop timer-triggered, queue-triggered, and other Azure Functions for data acquisition, transformation, routing, and delivery.
• API Management: Build, secure, configure, and manage enterprise APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Security & Identity: Implement secure authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and related Azure security capabilities.
• Enterprise Integration: Develop secure integrations between on-premises enterprise systems, Azure services, and external third-party APIs.
• API Development: Build and consume REST and OData APIs, including integrations involving large data sets and enterprise data sources.
• CI/CD: Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines for Azure applications and infrastructure.
• Configuration & Observability: Implement externalized configuration, logging, monitoring, error handling, and operational diagnostics.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, well-tested C#/.NET code and participate in code reviews.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, infrastructure teams, and domain experts to translate business and integration requirements into working software.
• Agile Delivery: Participate in daily stand-ups, technical discussions, sprint planning, and other Agile development activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5–10+ years of professional software development experience, with substantial experience building enterprise applications and integrations.
• .NET / C#: Strong hands-on experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+).
• Azure Functions: Production experience developing and deploying Azure Functions.
• Azure Service Bus: Strong experience with asynchronous messaging, queues, message processing, retries, and failure handling.
• Azure API Management: Hands-on experience configuring and developing solutions using Azure API Management (APIM).
• Azure Security: Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, authentication, authorization, secrets, and secure application design.
• APIs: Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• OData: Experience building or consuming OData-based APIs and working with enterprise data sources.
• Hybrid Integration: Experience integrating on-premises applications or data sources with Azure cloud services.
• CI/CD: Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines and modern source-control practices.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Experience implementing application logging, monitoring, diagnostics, and error handling in Azure environments.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a U.S.-based technical team.
• Remote Work: Proven ability to work independently and effectively as part of a distributed engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Logic Apps and workflow automation.
• Microsoft AZ-305 certification or equivalent hands-on Azure architecture experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with BizTalk Server, traditional ETL platforms, or modernization of legacy enterprise integrations.
• Experience designing event-driven or message-based architectures.
• Experience with Azure networking, Key Vault, application configuration, and related platform services.
• Experience working with large enterprise applications and complex integration environments.
• Experience in the legal technology or professional-services industry is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams across multiple time zones.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Location: Fully remote / offshore.
• Employment: Full-time.
• Schedule: Must be available for at least two hours of daily overlap with the U.S. Pacific Time (PT) team for meetings, stand-ups, and technical collaboration.
• Work will be performed through a secure, client-provided remote development environment.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a hands-on senior engineer, not simply someone familiar with Azure terminology. The ideal candidate has personally built and deployed production solutions using .NET, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and API Management and is comfortable troubleshooting integrations across application, API, messaging, identity, and cloud infrastructure layers.

You should be comfortable taking technical requirements, working with an architect and other engineers, and turning those requirements into reliable, maintainable production-quality software.
