Senior B2B Demand Generation Manager

Our client provides driver and operator training and software focused on specific vehicles, as well as state-approved courses for individuals. The company has been operating since the 1980s and has more than 5,000 active customers.
Its markets include commercial fleets, driving schools, state and local government, and other organizations that operate vehicles, including logistics and warehouses.
Role Overview
The Senior B2B Demand Generation Manager will be responsible for generating high-quality B2B leads that ultimately convert into qualified meetings and revenue opportunities.
A major part of the role will involve identifying the right companies and contacts to target, building and enriching prospect databases, developing campaigns that warm those audiences, and partnering closely with the SDR and broader Sales team to ensure Marketing consistently feeds the pipeline with actionable opportunities.
The role will also own demand generation content, including newsletters, webinars, white papers, email campaigns, blog posts, thought leadership, customer interviews, partnerships with industry leaders, and other assets designed to engage the company’s target market.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop strategy, execute independently, experiment quickly, and take ownership of results.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Generation & Pipeline Creation
Own the B2B demand generation strategy with a primary focus on generating qualified leads, meetings, and sales pipeline.
Develop and execute campaigns designed to move target prospects from awareness through engagement and into sales conversations.
Partner closely with SDRs and the Sales team to ensure Marketing consistently delivers high-quality, actionable leads.
Establish clear definitions for lead quality and continuously improve the quality of prospects entering the sales pipeline.
Track performance from initial marketing engagement through meetings, opportunities, and revenue.
Test different campaigns, channels, audiences, messaging, and offers to determine which strategies produce the strongest results.
Build a repeatable and scalable demand generation engine as the company grows.
Prospecting Data, List Building & Enrichment
Own the creation of target account and prospect lists for Marketing and Sales.
Identify companies and decision-makers that fit the company’s ideal customer profile.
Research, verify, clean, and enrich prospect and account data using third-party resources and automation tools.
Maintain accurate, high-quality contact databases for marketing and outbound sales efforts.
Build segmented audiences for different campaigns, industries, buyer personas, and stages of the funnel.
Develop workflows that allow Marketing to warm target accounts before SDR and Sales outreach.
Explore automation and AI tools to make prospect research, enrichment, segmentation, and campaign execution more efficient.
Content & Campaign Development
Develop high-quality B2B content that resonates with the company’s target buyers.
Create and execute email campaigns, newsletters, webinars, white papers and guides, blog content, thought leadership, customer stories and interviews, customer case studies, and sales enablement and lead-generation assets.
Identify opportunities to interview customers, internal subject-matter experts, and industry leaders to create original content.
Develop messaging that demonstrates an understanding of the customer, industry, and business problems the company solves.
Repurpose ideas across multiple channels and formats to maximize reach and efficiency.
Ensure content is designed to generate measurable business outcomes.
Conferences & Events
Own the company’s B2B conference and event strategy.
Identify which conferences, trade shows, and industry events are worth participating in.
Develop pre-event strategies to identify and engage target accounts and attendees.
Coordinate campaigns, messaging, content, and outreach leading into events.
Support the development of event assets and materials.
Create post-event follow-up campaigns to turn event engagement into meetings and pipeline.
Measure conference effectiveness and ROI and continuously refine the event strategy.
Analytics & Experimentation
Build reporting around demand generation activity, lead quality, campaign performance, conversion rates, and pipeline impact.
Use data to determine which audiences, campaigns, content, and channels are producing results.
Continuously test new ideas and iterate based on performance.
Identify bottlenecks across the marketing-to-sales funnel and recommend improvements.
Develop a clear understanding of how marketing activities contribute to qualified meetings and revenue.
Apply an analytical approach to decision-making.
AI, Automation & Creative Execution
Use AI and automation tools to increase the speed and quality of campaign execution.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive marketing, prospecting, research, and content workflows.
Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI platforms to accelerate research, campaign development, personalization, and content creation.
Create or adapt lightweight marketing assets when appropriate using modern design and AI-assisted tools.
Produce professional, polished assets independently when a dedicated designer is not required.
Work with external design or marketing resources when more specialized support is needed.
Qualifications
Experience
5+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful hands-on experience in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or a closely related role.
Proven success generating qualified B2B leads and sales pipeline.
Demonstrated experience marketing to U.S.-based businesses and buyers.
Experience building and enriching target account and prospect lists.
Experience with email marketing, content marketing, webinars, lead nurturing, and campaign execution.
Experience developing B2B content such as white papers, newsletters, thought leadership, case studies, or long-form educational content.
Experience using data to improve campaign performance.
Experience using AI to improve productivity, automate workflows, or create marketing assets.
Skills
Strong understanding of the relationship between Marketing, SDRs, and Sales.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to independently develop strategy and execute it.
Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor without requiring a large internal team.
Strong working knowledge of modern marketing, enrichment, CRM, automation, and AI tools.
Strong visual judgment and the ability to produce or coordinate polished marketing materials.
Comfortable working with significant overlap with U.S. business hours.
