Senior Back-end Developer

At Cyclad, we work with top international IT companies to help them deliver cutting-edge technologies and innovative digital solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Back-end Developer to join a team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-quality backend solutions.

The project focuses on backend development, code optimization, and building maintainable and reliable applications. In this role, you will work with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, REST APIs, cloud technologies, and infrastructure automation, contributing to technical improvements while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

• Budget: 85–120 PLN net/hour – B2B

• Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and résidence in Poland

Your responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality backend components and scalable solutions
• Build secure, maintainable, and testable applications
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand and refine requirements
• Assess technical feasibility and propose appropriate solutions
• Optimize existing code to improve performance and maintainability
• Support testing, deployment, and technical documentation
• Share technical best practices and support less experienced developers
• Contribute to continuous improvement within an Agile development environment

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in backend development, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Expert knowledge of Java 21 and Spring Boot 4.x
• Expert knowledge of HTTP and REST APIs
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, particularly CloudFormation or CDK
• Experience with SQL and Oracle
• Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming technologies
• Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Maven, and Git
• Knowledge of OWASP security standards
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as DevOps practices
• Fluent professional English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an Agile team
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, with 3 days per week in the Warsaw office

Nice to have:

• Experience with Redis
• Knowledge of OpenSearch
• Experience with Angular 20+
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio Code
