💻 Senior Backend Developer (TypeScript and Node.js)

We’re looking for a Backend Developer to help expand our core platform, support the full product catalogue, and build new backend services for the domain team.

You’ll work on core backend functionality, AI-powered services, asynchronous processing and production data infrastructure, contributing to a platform designed to scale reliably.

🛠️ What you’ll do

• Implement template contracts and core generation services.
• Build and ship a complete audio pipeline for text-to-speech assets.
• Design and manage asynchronous workloads, queues and background jobs.
• Own PostgreSQL data models, ensuring they are scalable, reliable and well structured.
• Handle production database migrations safely and efficiently.
• Integrate and maintain LLM-powered backend services, focusing on reliability and structured data.
• Collaborate closely with the domain team and other engineers to turn product requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Apply design thinking principles to solve problems pragmatically and build maintainable systems.

🎯 What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with Python and FastAPI is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational data modelling, including experience with JSONB.
• Proven experience integrating LLM APIs, including schema validation and token usage/cost logging.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous processing, queues and idempotent jobs.
• Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to software design.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working with text-to-speech or audio processing pipelines.
