Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join a product-focused engineering team building AI-native business intelligence software. You will work across the product and codebase, helping deliver scalable data systems for latency-critical analytical workloads.

What You'll Do

• Build and scale data pipelines that support large-scale, latency-critical analytics.

• Contribute across the codebase and product rather than working within a narrow engineering silo.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, company leadership, and customers to shape the product and technical roadmap.

• Design cost-efficient, secure, scalable systems on modern cloud infrastructure.

• Help shape the team's engineering practices and technology choices.

What We're Looking For

• At least 4 years of backend engineering experience in product, platform, or infrastructure engineering.

• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, plus experience building or supporting large-scale data pipelines.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

• Experience in a startup or other fast-paced team environment, with strong software engineering fundamentals.

• Ability to work in the Bay Area, either locally or by relocating.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $250,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. H-1B transfers are considered case by case, and candidates on OPT should have at least two H-1B lottery attempts remaining.
