The Role As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the platform’s core infrastructure. As a key contributor, you will drive innovation, optimize system performance, and ensure scalability, security, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, security, compliance, and data analytics Key Responsibilities Develop Backend Systems Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend solutions, ensuring robust APIs for mobile, web, and third-party integrations. Ensure Performance, Security & Compliance Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with AML, KYC, data privacy, and state-by-state sweepstakes regulations. Mentor Support and guide engineers by sharing best practices and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Collaborate Cross-Functionally Partner with product, finance, compliance, and support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and ensure seamless operations. Qualifications Proven experience designing, developing, and scaling high-performance backend systems. Strong hands-on experience with Python for backend development, automation, and data processing. Experience building and maintaining APIs, working with CI/CD pipelines, and supporting infrastructure automation. Solid understanding of system performance optimization, security best practices, and regulatory compliance, including AML, KYC, and data privacy. Experience working with data pipelines, analytics integrations, and geolocation-based access controls. Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers and sharing engineering best practices. Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams across product, finance, compliance, and support. Hands-on experience with incident management, monitoring systems, and root cause analysis. Requirements Fluent in English Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
