About the Role
A consumer bankruptcy law firm is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Attorney to lead and grow its Chapter 7 practice. You will oversee consumer cases from intake through discharge and provide senior legal guidance on complex or contested matters.
What You'll Do
Lead the Chapter 7 consumer bankruptcy practice and manage filings from intake through discharge.
Work with senior paralegals to support case throughput and maintain quality across a high-volume caseload.
Help hire, evaluate, and mentor junior attorneys as the practice grows.
Provide legal guidance on complex and contested consumer bankruptcy matters.
What We're Looking For
At least 10 years of dedicated consumer bankruptcy experience, with a focus on Chapter 7.
An active Texas bar license in good standing and a JD from an accredited law school.
Experience representing debtors in consumer bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13 cases from intake through discharge. Experience primarily representing creditors or banks against consumers is not a fit.
Experience managing a high-volume caseload with many simultaneous filings while maintaining accuracy.
Strong client communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with consumers experiencing financial distress.
Comfort adapting to legal case management software and remote collaboration tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary range: $120,000 to $250,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
