We are looking for a world-class Senior Brand Designer based in Nigeria to join us on a freelance, project basis. You will produce high-impact, globally competitive branding work that shapes how brands are seen and remembered.
Role Overview
Branding is the core of this role. You will be responsible for building complete brand identities including logo systems, brand guidelines, brand decks, packaging, and visual identity applications, working closely with our Creative Director and production team to deliver work that meets international, premium standards. You'll be working across a range of brands, including beauty, lifestyle, hospitality, food & beverage, and culturally-led brands. Social media assets and marketing collateral are part of the role, but they are secondary responsibilities that support the brand systems you build, not the main focus of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design brand identity systems including logos, colour palettes, typography systems, and brand guidelines
- Develop brand decks and presentations that communicate strategy and identity clearly
- Design packaging concepts and print-ready packaging assets
- Build visual identity systems that work consistently across multiple touchpoints
- Create marketing collateral: brochures, one-pagers, presentation decks
- Produce social media templates and assets as a secondary responsibility
- Contribute illustration assets where required
- Collaborate with the creative team to ensure visual consistency across all client deliverables
- Manage the project timeline and deliver within the 6-week contract window
- Deliver files in appropriate formats (JPEG, PNG, PDF, vector) for both print and digital use
Requirements (Essential)
- Location: Must be based in Nigeria (Nigerian citizen or resident)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional design experience with a strong branding focus (agency experience preferred)
- Portfolio: Must demonstrate complete brand identity projects, brand strategy translated into visual identity, logo systems, brand guidelines, brand decks, packaging projects, and visual identity applications. We want to see branding case studies, not individual graphics or social media posts.
- Strategic thinking: Understands how to build brands from the ground up, not just execute individual visuals
- Software mastery: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop; Figma preferred; comfortable with presentation design tools
- Typography and layout: Strong command of typography systems and colour systems
- Premium aesthetic: Understands premium and luxury branding aesthetics
- Presentation skills: Can present branding work professionally through polished brand decks
- Attention to detail: Every pixel matters. We need someone who takes pride in precision.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal), you will work directly with UK-based leadership
- Self-management: Ability to work independently, remotely, and meet deadlines without supervision
Nice to Have (Preferred)
- Experience designing for luxury or high-end brands
- Knowledge of print production and preparing files for commercial printing
