Senior Business Analyst

At IT Labs, we are looking for a hands-on Senior Business Analyst to support one of the world's leading professional services and consulting firms in their Applied Intelligence & Autonomous Operations practice. Our client is a global consulting and technology advisory firm that helps leading Tier 1 banks and insurance companies transform their operations through AI, automation, and advanced analytics with a particular focus on Anti-Financial Crime. Their core areas of expertise include AI-driven fraud prevention, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, designing and implementing intelligent solutions that enhance detection capabilities, automate investigations and due diligence activities, and help institutions meet evolving regulatory requirements. For this engagement, you will work on a project for a Dutch insurance client , translating complex insurance business needs into functional requirements for AI delivery. You'll map workflows, design use cases, and act as the key interface between business stakeholders and technical delivery squads. This role is best suited for someone who thrives at the intersection of business transformation, data, and AI, and who is comfortable operating in highly regulated, mission-critical environments. What You'll Do Collaborate with insurance business units to identify, prioritize, and define high-impact AI use cases Translate complex business problems and legacy insurance rules into detailed functional requirements and user stories Map, analyze, and optimize end-to-end business workflows to identify automation opportunities Facilitate collaborative design sessions and requirement workshops between business stakeholders and technical squads Define objective user acceptance criteria (UAT) and validate that delivered AI models meet performance targets Conduct gap analyses to ensure new AI capabilities align with existing customer-facing channels Required Skills 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within insurance, banking, or another highly regulated industry Strong experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories Proven experience with business process mapping and workflow optimization Experience facilitating workshops and design sessions with both business and technical stakeholders Familiarity with UAT design and validation of delivered solutions against performance/business targets Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with complex legacy business rules Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Comfortable operating in a remote-first, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environment Nice to Have Prior exposure to AI/ML-driven initiatives or automation projects Experience in Anti-Financial Crime domains (AML, KYC, fraud prevention) Experience working with global consulting or professional services delivery teams Insurance-specific domain knowledge (claims, underwriting, policy administration) Working Conditions Full-time (typically 40 hours per week) Contractor or B2B engagement Paid Time Off (PTO) provided Remote or hybrid work arrangements depending on location and client needs Our values We are a company that seeks the best for both our employees and clients, reaching beyond expectations in turning dreams into reality.
