The Senior Business Analyst will provide expertise and support in developing and enhancing the IQVIA Clinical eSource Platform, also known as ClinSpark, to provide new or enhanced solutions to clients. The Sr. BA will gather, analyze, document, and validate the needs of end users and product stakeholder groups, and translate those needs into testable acceptance criteria supported by automated test coverage. The role will be an essential part of the IQVIA Connected Devices Product Engineering team, supporting the overall growth and capabilities of the IQVIA Clinical eSource Platform. Essential Functions * In collaboration with a global multi-functional team lead the efforts to gather, analyze, define, document, and validate requirements and key functions of the product. * Work with internal teams and technical partners to understand and translate business needs into requirements used by a cross functional development team. * Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable business and systems capabilities. This may include the creation of diagrams and other visual assets to depict capabilities and workflows. * Contribute to the technical documentation in support of SDLC including software design documents, functional specifications, and change requests. * Collaborate with business teams, subject matter experts, developers, and testers to define acceptance criteria used for verification activities, with independent review and approval or verification evidence. * Translate acceptance criteria into BDD-style scenarios and implement them as automated tests within the team´s existing test framework, using AI-assisted development tooling. * Must be able to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Qualifications * Minimum five (5) years of related systems or business analysis experience * Knowledge of software development processes and best practices * Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment * Strong technical skills with experience working within software development teams * Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies * Experience with BDD methodologies and requirement definition * Comfort working directly in a test automation codebase, including use of version control and code review practices; experience with automated testing tools or frameworks preferred * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills * Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills * Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent experience * Experience with Atlassian systems (Jira and Confluence) * Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g. third party software and internal operational applications, etc.) or IQVIA client facing applications and products * Knowledge of Phase I-IV clinical trial operations and workflows * Expertise pertaining to clinical trial management software * Knowledge of applicable clinical research, regulatory and other requirements; i.e., Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, GDPR, EMA, GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
