The Senior Business Analyst will work with the client staff and EIS Group onshore / offshore delivery resources, Program and Product management to document business cases and solutions and create requirement specifications for EIS application suite of software in one or more functional areas; document business process specifications and functional requirements and communicate them to delivery team for development; advise the client on how best to utilize the EIS

- Creates a work-plan for business analysis tasks, including approvals, manages his/her own and teams activities, tasks, work outputs and timelines
- Provides onboarding training for new BAs (based on Lead Business Analyst assignments)
- Organizes and oversees requirement change management process
- Improves business analysis performance by making adjustments on current activities and preventing future issues
- Indicates and reports risks and issues that may have an impact on Business Analysis activities and/or project success

Requirements Gathering & Preparation [within assigned workstream(s)]
- Organizes and runs requirements gathering workshops and other interpersonal forms of requirement gathering in the role of either facilitator or negotiator
- Invites relevant stakeholders to requirements elicitation sessions
- Gathers and captures relevant information from stakeholders needed to create requirements
- Performs requirements validation with relevant stakeholders (prepares validation criteria as part of the requirement)
- Assigns priorities to the requirements based on multiple factors, confirms the priorities with stakeholders
- Analyses and structures large amounts of information from different sources
- Creates requirements’ traces from business case to the solution implementation
- Knows appropriate use of different requirements analysis techniques
- Creates various models that describe business and IT domain
- Creates requirements documentation suitable for Dev, QA and other teams needs

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Possesses the appropriate level of Business Analysis theoretical knowledge and experience, analytical thinking and problem solving
- Possesses knowledge of insurance business principles and practices, industry, organization and solution, i.e. agency licensing, billing, claims, commissions, finance, product/policy, operations, rating or underwriting,, with background either as an analyst/technology employee of an insurance company or as a consultant providing services to insurance companies.
- Understands Agile Software Engineering Process Lifecycle and its relationship to Business Analysis processes
- Understands main Software Engineering and Architecture principles
- Has knowledge of and utilizes general purpose and specialized software applications to support Business
- Analysis processes
- Experience with object, process or data modeling as well as basic knowledge of SQL is a strong plus
- Object-oriented application development or database programming experience is a plus.
- Insurance certification such as CPCU / IIA or similar desired but not required.
- Working knowledge of ACORD standards is a plus but not required
- Working knowledge of Mandarin or Russian is a strong plus
- Possesses knowledge for organizing the team/group work in his/her competence field
- Efficient Blueprint, JIRA, WIKI, MS Office, MS Visio and MS Project user (Blueprint is a Requirements Management platform used by EIS Group)
