Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually Senior Business Analyst Position : Senior Business Analyst Reports to: Vice President, Business Analytics Location : Remote; Must reside in New York State Pay Grade: Full Time, Salary, Exempt Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000 Annual About MAS Medical Answering Service (MAS) connects Medicaid enrollees to health care through non-emergency transportation because we believe healthier communities exist when their members have seamless access to healthcare. Job Summary Work closely with senior leadership across MAS to build trusted relationships, understand analytics needs, and deliver business intelligence analyses that uncover meaningful insights into drivers of the business. Use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into program management performance, opportunities, and risks. Implement analytical approaches/ methodologies that assist in the interpretation of results. Serve as a champion of data for the organization, ensuring we measure the right things and enable data-driven decision making throughout the company. This is a high-visibility, demanding role that requires resilience, professional composure, and the flexibility to work extended hours to meet business needs and project deadlines. Business Analytics Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis efforts focused on MAS management of the NYS Medicaid program Manage special projects requiring historical and current multi-disciplinary knowledge of MAS, with a keen understanding of the Medicaid transportation concerns of enrollees, medical providers, transportation providers, and the NYSDOH Support organizational development projects including Medicaid program initiatives, cost structure development, policy support, program budgets, and various other organizational initiatives Develop and enforce standards for data collection and analysis across a multi-disciplinary reporting and analysis environment, including Smartsheets, Microsoft Power BI, MAS System, and Microsoft Tools Partner with Financial Analytics and department leadership to provide strategic, value-add insight to business intelligence data Collaborate with IT to advance MAS data integration, data governance, and reporting initiatives Maintain an understanding of NEMT industry developments, including new competitors and trends Identify and analyze opportunities for strategic alliances within the NEMT industry Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance analysis, automate workflows, and improve operational efficiency Stay current on AI developments and proactively explore opportunities to integrate AI into business processes Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, macros, and data modeling Working knowledge of SQL and ETL processes Proficiency with or strong willingness to learn AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) and AI-driven analytics features in platforms like Power BI Experience analyzing data, developing reports, and translating findings into actionable recommendations Strong presentation skills with the ability to develop and deliver clear, compelling presentations to senior leadership and diverse audiences Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities Resilience and professionalism when navigating ambiguity, tight deadlines, or challenging stakeholder dynamics Ability to receive and incorporate feedback constructively Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments Experience with MAS software preferred Prior experience building professional relationships at all organizational levels Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, or a related field required In lieu of a degree, equivalent experience in a role performing business research and analytics may be considered Travel Requirements May be required to attend in-person meetings with MAS colleagues, primarily in the Syracuse area Physical Requirements To be performed with or without reasonable accommodation: Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods Communicating with others to exchange information Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers Assessing the accuracy and thoroughness of assigned work Equal Opportunity MAS provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, gender identity, results of genetic testing, or service in the military.
