About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-profile, purpose-led industry organisation in the Melbourne CBD. This role is embedded within a major transformation initiative focused on modernising, scaling and enhancing a national product assessment and accreditation service.
Following a comprehensive program review and initial discovery phase, the regulatory body organisation is now moving into delivery to overhaul its core operating model, technology stack and compliance frameworks. As the BA on this stream, you will work closely with a dedicated Project Manager, technical SMEs, regulatory stakeholders and technology partners to convert discovery findings into practical, delivery-ready outcomes.
Regulatory Body, Government, or highly regulated environment experience highly regarded, as well as exposure to Salesforce or CRM projects.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on contract role, you will drive business analysis across several high-priority initiatives:
- Process Optimisation & Automation: Map current-state and future-state workflows to eliminate manual failure points across the end-to-end application and assessment pipeline.
- Systems & Platform Uplift: Capture detailed requirements for Salesforce and Form Assembly enhancements, email integration into CRM/Outlook, and external API documentation.
- Applicant Self-Service Portal: Define business rules, user stories, and acceptance criteria for a new self-service portal, through to SOP creation and operational handover.
- Data Quality & Reporting: Establish requirements for data cleanup, multi-contact account management, and internal/external reporting dashboards.
- Change & Operational Readiness: Lead UAT planning, define business acceptance criteria, and prepare training materials and support models to ensure seamless adoption.
About You
- Regulated Experience: Previous experience working within a regulatory body, government agency, or highly regulated, process-intensive environment is strongly preferred.
- CRM & Salesforce Expertise: Direct hands-on experience with Salesforce or broader CRM platforms is highly beneficial, particularly around data cleanup, workflow enhancements, and portal integrations.
- Core BA Skillset: Exceptional ability to elicit requirements, facilitate cross-functional workshops, write robust user stories, and map complex cross-functional processes.
- Technical Aptitude: Practical experience delivering requirements for form/portal integrations, automation, and API-supported workflows.
- Delivery Focus: A pragmatic, MVP-driven mindset focused on prioritizing high-value outcomes, managing dependencies, and maintaining traceability throughout the SDLC.
