We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Business Development Executive based in Nigeria. The successful candidate will support Virtual IP’s global business development initiatives through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, prospect research, lead qualification, client communication, and consistent follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify prospective clients and new business opportunities across international markets.
- Conduct outbound cold calls to introduce Virtual IP’s services to potential clients.
- Generate leads through LinkedIn, email outreach, online research, professional networks, and approved prospecting platforms.
- Research target industries, companies, decision-makers, and market opportunities.
- Develop and execute business development and client acquisition initiatives.
- Qualify leads based on business needs, budget, decision-making authority, timeline, and service requirements.
- Schedule discovery calls and introductory meetings with qualified prospects.
- Communicate professionally with business owners, executives, department heads, and senior decision-makers.
- Understand prospective clients’ challenges and identify relevant Virtual IP services and solutions.
- Prepare professional outreach messages, proposals, presentations, reports, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of leads, calls, conversations, follow-ups, meetings, and sales opportunities.
- Record all business development activities in the company’s CRM or lead-tracking system.
- Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process.
- Handle common sales objections professionally and maintain positive relationships with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with management, marketing, technical, and service-delivery teams.
- Support proposal discussions, discovery meetings, client presentations, negotiations, and sales handovers.
- Provide regular reports on calls, emails, outreach activity, qualified leads, meetings booked, and pipeline progress.
- Recommend improvements to outreach strategies, sales processes, lead-generation methods, and target markets.
- Meet agreed weekly and monthly business development and sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in business development, B2B sales, outbound sales, lead generation, or client acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience conducting cold calls and communicating with prospective clients.
- Strong understanding of business development, sales pipelines, lead qualification, and outbound prospecting.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Clear, confident, and professional telephone communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with international clients and senior decision-makers.
- Experience using LinkedIn, email outreach, online research, and lead-generation platforms.
- Experience maintaining lead and sales records through CRM software, spreadsheets, or tracking tools.
- Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
- Availability to work a full eight-hour schedule aligned with U.S. Central Time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience selling IT services, cybersecurity services, artificial intelligence solutions, software development, digital marketing, cloud services, or consulting services.
- Experience working with clients in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, or other international markets.
- Experience using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Zoho CRM, or similar platforms.
- Experience preparing proposals and participating in client discovery meetings.
- Experience working in a target-driven or commission-based sales environment.
- Familiarity with international B2B prospecting and outreach practices.
Working Hours
The employee must work eight hours per day according to the company’s agreed U.S. Central Time schedule.
Depending on seasonal time changes in the United States, the working schedule in Nigeria may generally fall between:
- Approximately 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. West Africa Time, or
- Approximately 4:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. West Africa Time.
Candidates must be comfortable working evening hours and must remain available, responsive, and professionally active throughout the agreed shift.

This position requires full-time professional commitment during scheduled working hours.

Compensation and Commission
The position offers a monthly base salary of USD 350–460, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, English communication skills, and interview performance.
The salary will be paid in Nigerian naira using the company’s applicable payroll exchange rate.
In addition to the monthly base salary, the employee will be eligible for a performance-based commission structure. Commission may be linked to:
- Qualified leads.
- Successful client conversions.
- Collected sales revenue.
- Achievement of agreed business development targets
