Company Overview

Iridium is an award-winning satellite communications company operating the world's only truly global voice and data network, delivering reliable connectivity anywhere on Earth. For more than 20 years, Iridium has powered mission-critical communications for governments, businesses, aviation, maritime, and the rapidly expanding Internet of Things.

Now part of Iridium, Aireon is the world’s only space-based air traffic surveillance system, providing real-time visibility of aircraft over oceans, the poles, and remote regions. Together, Iridium and Aireon are helping build a safer, more connected, and more efficient future for global aviation.

Join our team and help shape how the world stays connected. We foster a collaborative, inclusive culture where employees are empowered to innovate, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For:

Iridium is seeking an NTN Senior Business Development Manager, OEM & Device Ecosystem, to drive the expansion of Iridium's NTN device ecosystem globally. In this role, you will build and manage relationships with chipset vendors, module makers, OEMs, ODMs, and device manufacturers to bring NTN-capable products to market. You will work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to align device roadmaps with Iridium's service offerings and ensure partners have what they need to design, certify, and launch successfully. This role focuses on strategic partnership development, cross-functional execution, and growing the breadth and depth of the NTN device ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue OEM, ODM, chipset, module, and device partnership opportunities that expand the NTN and Cellular device ecosystem
  • Own the full partner lifecycle, from prospecting, qualification, and negotiation through design-in support, certification, launch, and ongoing growth
  • Develop and execute account plans and partnership strategies for key OEM and device partners, aligned to Iridium's NTN roadmap and revenue objectives
  • Support commercial negotiations, including partnership agreements, integration terms, and go-to-market commitments
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to translate OEM and device requirements into product and service priorities, and to give partners technical guidance on integration, testing, and certification
  • Work with MNOs, channel partners, and distributors to make sure new devices are commercially supported and channel-ready at launch
  • Co-develop joint go-to-market and marketing plans with device partners, including launch announcements, reference designs, and demand-generation programs
  • Plan and participate in technical and product presentations, demonstrations, industry events, and trade shows
  • Track and report on ecosystem health, including partner pipeline, design wins, device certifications, and revenue impact
  • Lead market and competitive analysis to identify new device categories, use cases, and partnership opportunities, and recommend new or enhanced products and programs

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience with NTN, Cellular, IoT, or other telecommunications-based offerings, ideally in a device, chipset, module, or OEM environment
  • 10+ years of related experience in business development, partnership management, telecom, satellite services, or related technical and market disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to independently deliver results in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Advanced knowledge of products, services, and market trends in satellite, NTN, and cellular connectivity, including the device ecosystem and relevant standards (e.g., 3GPP NTN)
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing strategic partnerships with device manufacturers or technology partners

Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:

  • Experience in Communications / Telecommunications industries
  • Experience in Cellular IOT, Cellular Distribution, Roaming and or MVNO development

We’ll also need you to:

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the country they are based, at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.

We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work. Under Iridium’s Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least four days per week (approximately 80%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.
