Coordinates the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties. In this role, your responsibilities will be: Analyze the requirements for products/services, including preliminary specifications, demands, BOM, project scopes, use of preferred suppliers, etc. to schedule products/services as needed to meet business needs. Place and manage purchase orders and part parameters in accordance with business requirements, constraints, and guidelines. Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and other contract terms with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the organization. Analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce expenses. Perform follow-up on overdue purchase orders and communicate with internal customers when material arrives. Execute reschedule of material as needed. Working closely with various departments, such as finance, legal, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure a smooth procurement process that meets the organization's needs. Work with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes. Process all vendor returns in an efficient and timely fashion. Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, evaluate supplier capabilities, and select vendors that can provide the required goods or services. Mentor Buyer/Planners as needed and be the first point of contact for escalation by helping troubleshoot, do root cause analysis (as appropriate), resolve issues, and escalating when appropriate per established guidelines. Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and communicate those impacts to management as appropriate. Analyze the impact of engineering change notices on the supply chain, focusing on costs and inventory implications and propose plans to mitigate those costs. Collaborate with other departments to manage inventory levels, ensuring that goods are available when needed without overstocking. Drive and support personal and team KPI improvement programs, including root cause analysis, supplier forecasts, maintenance of supplier stocking programs, etc. Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, resolving any issues that arise, and fostering collaboration for mutual benefits. Upholding ethical standards in procurement operations, including fairness, transparency, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Establish, monitor, and drive supplier performance metrics (OTD, quality, responsiveness, cost reduction, inventory programs, etc.) through regular business reviews. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including sole-source exposure, capacity constraints, geopolitical risks, business continuity, and material shortage Support New Product Introductions (NPI), dual sourcing, product transitions, and end-of-life material strategies Lead procurement process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to drive efficiency and scalability Assess supplier capacity, develop contingency plans, and ensure continuity of supply for critical materials. Degree in Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, Customs, or International Commerce Minimum of 5 years in purchasing, production and/or inventory control-related activities experience. Must be fluent in English . Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Understanding how to use data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel's advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and Power BI Experience with a MRP planning methods.
