The Role

As a Senior C# Software Engineer at Advannor, you will take technical ownership across the full software development lifecycle — from requirements and architecture through to delivery and continuous improvement. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to build and maintain robust, scalable software solutions, bringing both technical depth and a collaborative mindset. Your experience will help raise the bar for the team while contributing meaningfully to complex, real-world engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain services across the software platform, ensuring reliability, performance and scalability.
• Ensure efficient data collection and secure data transmission across integrated systems.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and define functional and software requirements for new features.
• Drive architectural design decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability and quality.
• Write well-designed, testable and well-documented code.
• Lead and take part in code reviews, raising the technical standard of the team.
• Improve development processes, tools and engineering practices.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Advanced C# skills across .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core / .NET 5+.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Experience working in Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and testing strategies, including unit testing.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Preferred Skills

• Angular (v11 or later).
• ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring and log analysis.
• Microservices architecture.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
• JIRA or other Atlassian tools.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems or industrial/OT environments.
