Build on Your Casualty Claims Expertise
Ready to take the next step in your casualty claims career? Join Mapfre where you will independently manage moderate-severity Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) claims from investigation through resolution. This is not a field adjusting position.
You will bring your expertise in coverage analysis, liability determination, negotiation, and litigation management to deliver fair, timely outcomes for customers. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge, support less experienced colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing Claims team.
Don't Have the Exact Title?
If you have experience handling Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, UM/UIM, or attorney-represented claims, we encourage you to apply, even if your current title is different.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage moderate-severity Bodily Injury and UM/UIM claims from initial investigation through resolution.
- Analyze coverage, determine liability, evaluate damages, establish appropriate reserves, and negotiate fair settlements.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations using statements, reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation.
- Manage litigated and attorney-represented claims in partnership with defense counsel, experts, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify fraud indicators, subrogation opportunities, claim exposures, and regulatory considerations.
- Provide timely, professional communication and exceptional service to customers, claimants, attorneys, and business partners.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
- Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of casualty claims adjusting experience, including Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, UM/UIM, or comparable injury claims.
- Experience evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and attorney-represented claims.
- Strong investigative, analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload, balance competing priorities, and communicate effectively with varied claim stakeholders.
- Strong business judgment, organization, written communication, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree, associate degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Insurance designations, claims certifications, or completion of a casualty claims training program are a plus.
