As the Senior Change & Process Specialist you will have a significant impact on how Nordea Finance manages credit risk in the Retail segment, from shaping credit policies and standards to driving improvements in how we originate, monitor and govern retail credit today and for the future.

Credit Policy and Change is responsible for developing and maintaining Nordea Finance's credit risk frameworks, policies and processes across the Nordics. The team leads change initiatives, drives regulatory compliance and partners with business and IT stakeholders to strengthen and modernise credit risk management and processes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and develop Nordea Finance’s Retail credit risk framework, driving changes to ensure efficient and compliant credit risk handling.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Retail credit processes and policies in collaboration with stakeholders across the Nordea Finance organization.
  • Translate business requirements into IT development together with relevant stakeholders.
  • Enhance and centralize Retail credit processes, exploring opportunities for improvement through AI utilization, new data sources and tools.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk Management teams in Nordea Finance and stakeholders across Nordea Group.

The role is based in Warsaw. The position is a great opportunity to drive meaningful change and leave a real impact on retail credit risk management within the leading financing company in the Nordics. In this role you will report to the Head of Credit Policy and Change, Morten Jalksø.

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Shaping the Future of Retail Credit: Explore and define next-generation ways of working, leveraging AI and frontier technologies to improve and automate credit granting decisions, while governing automated credit processes and ensuring robust controls.
  • Change Ownership in Business & Credit Risk Management: Lead and support large-scale change initiatives within Nordea Finance, including the evolution of Loan Origination processes and Credit Customer Life-Cycles, while strengthening collaboration between Nordea Finance and Nordea Bank.
  • Driving Efficiency and Strategic Value: Maximize the impact of Nordea Finance's partner ecosystem, analyse complex business challenges, and deliver solutions that create measurable value aligned with the overall strategy.
  • Driving Nordea Finance's Retail Credit Processes: Establish Nordic alignment by implementing and maintaining the Retail part of Nordea's Credit Risk Framework, taking ownership of process changes and deliverables across multiple business channels and a diverse product portfolio spanning leasing, loans, inventory financing, and factoring.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, the IT organization, and external data and service providers to drive development, enhance credit assessment quality, and maximize partner efficiency.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for a candidate who has strong experience from project management and IT development, as well knowledgeable on Credit Risk Management as well as general requirements of Capital Requirements Directive and Regulation (CRD) and (CRR).

Your experience and background:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within the credit risk management and framework or similar risk management experience.
  • The job requires good understanding of credit risk in the Household and Retail Corporate segment.
  • Experience from working with IRB-requirements is a plus.
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree.
  • Fluency in English is a must. Familiarity with a Nordic language is a plus.
