Job Summary and Mission
The Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster plays a critical role in protecting the company by investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving complex liability claims. Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, this position combines technical claims expertise, sound judgment, and strategic decision-making to reflect the company's values
Summary of Key Responsibilities
· Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve high-exposure general liability claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and other casualty matters while balancing financial objectives, claimant experience, and reputational considerations.
· Partner with TPA to ensure timely, consistent, and effective claim handling, driving favorable claim outcomes aligned with company standards.
· Assess liability, exposure, litigation risk, and potential business impact to develop resolution strategies in alignment with Company’s goals and values, while balancing financial interests and brand reputation.
· Provide claims expertise and consultation to appropriate departments, identify emerging loss trends and promote consistent claims practices that support organizational objectives and operational excellence.
· Evaluates subrogation potential.
· Maintains comprehensive written and electronic claim file information and ensures compliance with claim handling protocols.
· Serves as a representative of the risk management claims team on inter-departmental working groups.
Summary of Experience
General Liability claims adjusting experience with third party administrator, insurance company, or self-insured company: 4 years
General knowledge of insurance and legal principles: 2 years
Customer service: 2 years
General office experience in a fast-paced environment: 2 years
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with claimants, attorneys, leadership, and organization stakeholders.
· Strong negotiation and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with peers, legal, and third-party administrators.
· Strong time management and prioritization skills.
· Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
