The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in oncology-focused clinical business analysis, clinical informatics, healthcare operations, and large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Clinical Information System (CIS) implementations. The individual will work closely with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, other regulated healthcare professionals, clinical subject matter experts, project teams, and provincial stakeholders to standardize oncology-related clinical practices and support the design and implementation of clinical content and workflows across New Brunswick.
The primary focus will be the gathering and analysis of clinical and business requirements, development of standardized oncology order sets and clinical documentation templates, business process analysis, detailed solution design, gap analysis, and the building, validation, and testing of clinical content within the CIS.
Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze clinical workflows and requirements involving ancillary healthcare services, including Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, and Laboratory, where relevant to oncology care.
  • Collaborate with clinical subject matter experts to review existing requirements, identify gaps, validate clinical standards, and define new business and information technology requirements.
  • Build, configure as applicable to the assigned role, validate, and test clinical content within the CIS to ensure alignment with approved clinical standards and business requirements.
  • Support clinical information system implementation activities, including workflow validation, functional testing, issue identification, resolution, and implementation readiness.
  • Assess the impact of clinical digitization and CIS implementation on healthcare operations, clinical workflows, documentation practices, and patient-care processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Team Lead, Project Manager, clinical stakeholders, technical teams, and other business analysts to ensure consistency and alignment across project workstreams.
  • Manage multiple project activities and priorities simultaneously while maintaining the quality, accuracy, and completeness of deliverables.
  • Demonstrate strong self-direction, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders and subject matter experts at all organizational levels.
  • Support knowledge transfer, mentoring, and capability development for New Brunswick program personnel in facilitation techniques, business analysis processes, clinical workflow documentation, and related practices.
  • Contribute to the long-term sustainment of the Symbio Program by enabling provincial personnel to maintain and apply standardized clinical processes and documentation.
  • Develop and support stakeholder communication, change-readiness, and training activities associated with clinical standardization and CIS implementation.
