Easterseals Northern California (ES NorCal) provide home, center and community-based services to children and adults with disabilities and special needs, and their families. Our programs deliver remote and in-person services to families with children, youth, and adults who have or are at risk for intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our services provide exceptional, individualized, family-centered services to empower people with intellectual or developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live independent, fulfilling lives with justice, equity, and inclusion as our guiding values. The Senior Clinical Manager provides leadership, oversight, and mentorship to Clinical Managers and their assigned teams within a designated region. This role ensures high-quality clinical programming, operational efficiency, and staff development through active coaching, quality assurance, and performance management. The Senior Clinical Manager serves as a regional point of accountability for meeting organizational goals related to clinical quality, client satisfaction, productivity, and compliance. The Senior Clinical Manager also collaborates closely with the Senior Training and Quality Manager and Senior Clinical Operations Manager to maintain consistency in training and operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Leadership, Mentorship, and Regional Oversight: Leads and provides direct supervision and mentorship to Clinical Managers and their teams to ensure effective service delivery, balancing clinical and administrative priorities, staff development, and achievement of quality and performance metrics in alignment with our Family of Companies (FoC) Values: Bold : Act courageously and think Differently. Oversees day-to-day operations within the assigned region, including caseload management, regional JIRA projects, clinical quality, and program oversight. Supports the Director in executing the Behavioral Health Annual Plan by providing regional updates, data, and recommendations to guide strategic planning, performance management, and continuous improvement. Collaborates with the Senior Training & Quality Manager to ensure consistent onboarding, training, and access to professional development resources for Clinical Managers and staff. Collaborates with the Senior Clinical Operations Manager to ensure operational systems and workflows support regional productivity and client satisfaction. Partners with shared services to support performance management, staffing, and scheduling needs. Provides direct client care or clinical coverage on a limited basis, as needed. Clinical Quality and Supervision Review and approve treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and assessments to ensure clinical accuracy and alignment with funder and regulatory standards. Conducts clinical audits (session note audits, competency checklists) for staff at or below the Clinical Manager level. Supports Clinical Managers to monitor client progress, address challenges with implementation, and ensure parent/caregiver engagement. Provides consultation and oversight on complex cases requiring higher-level clinical or operational input. Ensures compliance with all organizational, funder, and regulatory requirements, including documentation, supervision, and ethical standards. Collaborates with the Director and other Senior Managers to identify regional clinical trends, risk issues, and opportunities for program enhancement. Performance, Productivity and Professional Development Monitors and supports regional metrics related to productivity, client satisfaction, report timeliness, and clinical outcomes. Support Clinical Managers to create and execute action plans to meet targets and address performance gaps with their direct reports. Ensures RBT and BCBA supervision requirements are met in accordance with funder and BACB standards. Coach and develop Clinical Managers to strengthen leadership, operational, and clinical competencies. Partners with the Director to monitor regional budget and staffing targets, ensuring resources align with service delivery needs and organizational performance goals. Participate in leadership meetings, training, and organizational planning efforts to inform and align regional operations. Maintain BCBA certification and required continuing education. Participates in special projects and meetings as assigned by the Director. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to: Master's degree, PsyD, or PhD from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines is required: applied behavior analysis, early childhood education/development, special education, pediatric therapy, psychology or related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) OR Licensed marriage family therapist or social worker (LMFT/LCSW) in good standing for a minimum of four years (LMFT/LCSW) At least one year supervising ABA/NDBI programs Demonstrated success in leading teams and ensuring high-quality, compliant service delivery. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong demonstrated skillset in leadership, mentoring and managing teams. Knowledge of ABA methodologies and tools (VB-MAPP, AFLS, EFL). Excellent communication, cultural responsiveness, and leadership abilities. Strong clinical background and knowledge in best practices in Behavioral Health Commitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams. Enthusiasm and commitment to the values of the organization while consistently demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. Capacity to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, American Sign Language or bilingual ability a plus. Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population. Personable; ability to work comfortably with individuals at all levels of the organization in a high-speed and fast paced environment. Work independently and to be flexible in changing work priorities. Attending all required training. Physical Requirements: Sit for extended periods of time up to and including 6-8 hours a day. Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, team members, and others in the workplace. Visual and auditory ability to work with staff and others in the workplace continuously. Utilize computer and cell phone. Frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy. Must be able to communicate effectively within the workplace, read and write using the primary language within the workplace. Frequent driving (to from office locations & client homes) Frequent exposure to disability disorders in clients; occasional emergency situation response; occasional exposure to trauma; client contact and decision making; constant concentration required when working with clients. Work inside client homes; occasional work in outdoor settings Ability to travel between California and Hawaii as needed based on business needs. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position. Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General. Covid Vaccination and subsequent boosters required. Ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes; reliable transportation needed. Must have a valid California Driver’s License with Insurance and maintain a clean driving record. Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification. Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification. Ability to obtain and maintain a CAQH credential. Ability to obtain and maintain NPI number. Must attend any required training.
