Senior Cloud Solutions Architect (GCP, Terraform) The Opportunity Flylance is building a bench of Google Cloud architects ahead of consulting engagements in the Google Cloud partner ecosystem. We will be direct that this is a pipeline posting. We are meeting architects now so that when engagements open we can move in days rather than weeks. You will design cloud platform foundations and landing zones for enterprise customers, translate ambiguous business requirements into architecture that other engineers can build, and own infrastructure as code from design through implementation. You will sit directly with customer stakeholders, run the technical conversation, and defend your recommendations. Engagements are contract and hourly, and typically run three to four months with a strong pattern of extension and repeat work. Fully remote. Latin America preferred, and other time zones are workable and in some cases an advantage. Work is delivered through a partner relationship, which means representing the delivery partner on customer calls. What You'll Bring Seniority: Architect level, not senior individual contributor. This is the distinction we screen hardest on. Senior engineers who have not owned architecture end to end will not clear the bar. Technical Expertise: Deep experience with Terraform. This is the hard requirement. Proven solution architecture at enterprise scale, meaning you design systems and drive them through implementation rather than executing against someone else's design. Strong foundation in platform engineering and infrastructure as code. Google Cloud experience preferred. Architects with strong AWS or Azure backgrounds who can get current on GCP quickly are in scope and encouraged to apply. Client Interaction: Our customers do not run hard technical interviews. They run short conversations, usually one or two calls of fifteen to thirty minutes. The people who succeed are the ones who speak up, take a technical discussion and drive it, and tell a customer what they can do rather than waiting to be asked. If your instinct in a room is to stay quiet until someone calls on you, this is not the right fit. Professional Communication: Working professional English. It does not need to be your first language and an accent is not a problem. What matters is that you can hold and lead a technical conversation with a customer. What Sets You Apart Optional Technical Skills: Google Cloud Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, Network Engineer). Not required, and we know these are among the harder ones to earn. Experience with Cloud Foundation Toolkit, Cloud Foundation Fabric, or GCP Terraform blueprints. Proficiency with Kubernetes and GKE at production scale. Multi cloud experience. Consulting Experience: Professional services, partner delivery, or forward deployed engineering backgrounds. Previous work as a subcontractor or through a partner or reseller model. How to Apply Send your resume along with short answers to the three questions below.
