As a trusted partner to leaders and stakeholders, you will leverage employee listening data, research, and experience intelligence to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and tell compelling stories that support a culture of continuous improvement and engagement across the enterprise.


About This Opportunity

The Senior Consultant, Experience Listening & Intelligence supports enterprise listening initiatives through survey design, experience intelligence, research, analytics, and insight development. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to analyze employee feedback, synthesize findings, and develop actionable recommendations that improve teammate experience and organizational effectiveness.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with exceptional communication, storytelling, and consulting skills to translate complex data into meaningful business insights.


What You'll Do

  • Support the execution of enterprise listening and experience intelligence initiatives by applying established listening methodologies and design standards.
  • Analyze and synthesize employee listening data into meaningful insights, themes, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop reports, presentations, executive summaries, and other communication materials that translate data into actionable information for stakeholders.
  • Create compelling visualizations and presentations utilizing data storytelling and experience intelligence best practices.
  • Partner with program managers and cross-functional teams to align listening strategies, data interpretation, and business objectives.
  • Support stakeholder meetings, working sessions, and leadership discussions by preparing analyses, insights, and deliverables.
  • Conduct research on employee experience trends, organizational effectiveness, industry benchmarks, and emerging practices.
  • Integrate internal listening data with external research and benchmarking insights to provide a comprehensive view of organizational experience.
  • Support the development and maintenance of listening frameworks, templates, governance tools, and reporting methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance survey design, analytics, reporting processes, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure responsible stewardship of employee feedback and sensitive organizational data.

What You'll Bring

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, Analytics, Statistics, Research, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in analytics, employee experience, organizational development, consulting, research, or program support roles.
  • Experience supporting employee listening, engagement, culture, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of employee experience concepts, engagement drivers, organizational culture, and change management principles.
  • Understanding of employee listening methodologies, including engagement, pulse, lifecycle, and ad hoc surveys.
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods, including trend analysis, thematic coding, and open-text review.
  • Knowledge of external benchmarking resources and employee experience best practices.
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and confidentiality standards associated with employee feedback.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills with experience creating executive-ready materials.
  • Strong data storytelling and visualization capabilities.
  • Ability to translate strategic direction into structured deliverables and recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, survey platforms, and reporting tools.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Execute multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively prioritize work and manage deadlines within a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

The position generally involves working in a standard office or virtual work environment, which includes frequent sitting, standing, and walking as necessary. The role requires regular use of a computer and related technology for extended periods. Occasional travel throughout the Advocate Health enterprise may be required. Flexibility to support meetings, listening cycles, and strategic initiatives outside standard business hours may be necessary.


Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Analytics, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in employee experience, people analytics, organizational effectiveness, consulting, or program management.
  • Experience managing enterprise survey programs and employee listening strategies.
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data into executive-level insights and recommendations.
  • Experience presenting findings to senior leaders, executive teams, or governance committees.
  • Experience within healthcare, clinical operations, or large, complex organizations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience designing and administering employee listening surveys using quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Experience with survey and analytics platforms such as Perceptyx, Qualtrics, Medallia, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with external benchmarking methodologies and research synthesis.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making through data-driven storytelling and consultative partnership.
