Senior Consultant (Snowflake)

cbs Malaysia is the subsidiary of cbs, a leading international consultancy headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. We deliver high-end quality consulting and technology services to large industrial corporations that run SAP. We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant (Snowflake) Key Responsibilities Architect & Implement: Design and deploy end-to-end data architectures using Snowflake and Databricks . This includes data modeling, ingestion (ETL/ELT), and transformation. Technical Advisory: Lead discovery sessions to understand customer pain points and provide tailored recommendations on migration strategies. Performance Optimization: Audit existing environments to improve query performance, manage compute costs, and ensure efficient scaling. Advanced Engineering: Develop robust data pipelines using PySpark , SQL , and dbt . Implement Unity Catalog for governance and Snowpark for extensibility. Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior engineers through best practices in CI/CD, data quality frame working, and DevOps for data. Required Technical Skills Snowflake Mastery: Deep experience with Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Data Sharing. Databricks Expertise: Strong command of the Spark engine, Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), and MLflow. Professional Qualifications Consulting DNA: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 2 years in a client-facing consulting role. Communication: The ability to translate "technical debt" into "business risk" and "optimized code" into "business value." Problem-Solving: A "find a way or make one" attitude when dealing with messy legacy data and ambiguous requirements.
