About the role
Manage procurement and cost control for large-scale data centre projects, including RFP and bid management, contract drafting, and change management, ensuring compliance with client standards and governance.
Location
Remote or Hybrid with travel to European client sites as required. Locations include Dublin, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the Nordics.
Key Responsibilities
RFP & Bid Management
- Develop and issue Requests for Proposal (RFP) for suppliers and contractors.
- Evaluate bids and negotiate terms to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards.
Contract Management
- Draft and review contracts using client-provided templates.
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and technical requirements.
- Manage change orders and maintain accurate documentation for AE/EoR sign-off.
- Apply strong working knowledge of standard forms of construction contract (e.g., NEC, FIDIC, JCT).
Cost Control & Reporting
- Track project budgets, forecasts, and actuals.
- Prepare cost reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate financial risks.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and supply chain teams.
- Liaise with external vendors and AE/EoR firms for document approvals.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in procurement, cost management, or supply chain roles; experience in large-scale construction or data centre projects preferred.
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP, Oracle) and cost management platforms (e.g., CostX, CATO).
- Knowledge of data centre infrastructure and compliance standards.
- Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union and be able to provide evidence of their work authorization if requested.
Preferred Certifications
- CIPS Level 5–6 (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).
- MRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartered status.
- PMP or Prince2 for project management exposure.
