We are hundreds of professionals with varied backgrounds and experience levels who came together to achieve one goal: protecting those who have made it their mission to serve and care for others. Never considered the insurance industry before? We think you should.

We are seeking a highly accountable and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst who will serve as a senior-level technical leader within the cybersecurity team. This role provides daily analysis and response for cybersecurity alerts, notifications, and enterprise inquiries, while supporting incident response, vulnerability remediation, problem solving, and cybersecurity projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will be comfortable leading high-stakes security investigations, identifying security gaps, and proactively engaging cross-functional teams, technology owners, and management to drive issues through resolution. This individual must take pride in the quality and completeness of their work, demonstrate sound judgment, and consistently follow through on commitments.

In this role, you will…

  • Monitor and analyze system alerts, determine risk and business impact, and take appropriate action where needed.
  • Lead or serve as a senior escalation point for high-stakes security investigations, coordinating containment, remediation, recovery, and stakeholder communication as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Threat Detection and Response team to assess and enhance alert logic, validate detections, and triage alerts that require further review or action.
  • Analyze phishing alerts, suspected malware, and other security inquiries reported by end users.
  • Proactively identify security gaps, control weaknesses, or recurring operational issues and take ownership of engaging the appropriate cross-functional teams, technology owners, and management to drive corrective action.
  • Build trusted working relationships across technical and business teams, clearly communicate risk, and influence timely remediation.
  • Review industry news and threat intelligence and work with technology owners to ensure MedPro takes appropriate action to reduce risk and strengthen defenses.
  • Provide senior-level technical guidance, share knowledge, and help improve cybersecurity processes, playbooks, documentation, and team readiness.
  • Educate end users on appropriate security hygiene and awareness.
  • Lead or support the execution and completion of cybersecurity projects and initiatives, including the evaluation and adoption of new security technologies.
  • Assist with external and internal audit control compliance and responses to due diligence inquiries.
  • Maintain clear investigation notes, decisions, evidence, and status updates, and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, to support the team.

We are looking for a candidate with…

  • An IT-related associate's degree (preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • CISSP or another relevant cybersecurity industry certification is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity attack and defense methodologies, security operations, incident response, and threat investigation practices.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity hygiene, risk-based decision-making, and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex or high-stakes security investigations and coordinating actions across multiple technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to recognize security gaps or emerging risks, define the problem, identify the right owners, and independently drive issues toward resolution.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and follow-through, with pride in producing complete, accurate, and high-quality work.
  • Experience using SIEM platforms and structured query languages to build dashboards and queries for investigations, trending, detection, and alerting. Splunk experience is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools used for monitoring, investigation, response, vulnerability management, endpoint security, and related operational workflows.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, evaluate, and adapt to new technologies, threats, and security practices.
  • AI security experience, including security considerations for AI-enabled systems or monitoring and detection of AI, is preferred but not required.
  • Good understanding of corporate IT technologies, including Microsoft server and workstation operating systems, mobile devices, storage technologies, networking, and network security concepts.
  • Ability to work effectively across functional teams, build productive relationships, communicate risk clearly, and engage management when escalation or sponsorship is needed.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions within established authority, and provide timely updates on issues, risks, and progress.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and independent research skills.
  • Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
