Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for analysing transactional banking data, identifying reconciliation and data quality issues, and delivering trusted insights, reporting, and business requirements to support Data Lakehouse initiatives and financial transparency. Main Responsibilities Analyse end-to-end transaction flows across digital channels, core banking systems and finance platforms. Identify data sources, data quality issues and reconciliation gaps impacting financial reporting. Define business requirements, data mappings and analytical models for the Data Lakehouse. Develop KPIs and reporting requirements to support financial transparency and operational insights. Partner with Business, Finance, Technology and Data Engineering teams to deliver trusted, business-ready data products. Requirements 5+ years' experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst within banking or financial services. Strong understanding of Transactional Banking, Payments, Core Banking, General Ledger and financial reconciliation processes. Proven ability to map end-to-end business processes and transaction lifecycles across multiple systems. Experience in data profiling, data quality assessment, data mapping and root cause analysis. Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyse large, complex datasets. Experience defining business rules, KPIs, reconciliation controls and reporting requirements. Knowledge of Data Warehousing/Lakehouse concepts, including data lineage and metadata. Experience working on enterprise data migration or transformation programmes. Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
