Senior Data Analyst

We're looking for a highly analytical Senior Data Analyst to join a growing Data Science function supporting advanced marketing effectiveness and econometric analysis. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong analyst who enjoys solving complex business problems, building statistical models, and transforming large datasets into actionable insights.

Working remotely from South Africa, you'll collaborate closely with international teams and play a key role in delivering high-quality analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and advancing analytical capabilities across the business

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, run, and interpret statistical and econometric models, with a strong focus on time-series analysis.
• Build and customise marketing effectiveness and attribution models.
• Investigate and resolve complex data and systems challenges.
• Extract, clean, structure, and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources.
• Lead complex analytical investigations and modelling projects.
• Support senior analysts on technical workstreams and provide expertise when required.
• Review analytical outputs and provide guidance to junior analysts.
• Contribute to the development of end-to-end customer and advertising response measurement frameworks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Ensure data privacy, governance, and security best practices are maintained.
• Collaborate effectively with international stakeholders in a remote-first environment.

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, research, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong experience with regression analysis, econometric modelling, and Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Proficient in R and/or Python.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in a relevant quantitative discipline.
• Experience within media, marketing, financial services, or another data-intensive commercial environment.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts or coordinating work across teams.
