Salary: depending on experience - 55-65K€

Tech stack: SQL, dbt, Python, Snowflake, Airflow, Airbyte, AWS, Git, ArgoCD

THE COMPANY

We’re supporting a rapidly growing global consumer goods platform that partners with some of the most exciting health, wellness, and lifestyle brands worldwide. Their model blends deep operational expertise, data-driven execution, and proprietary technology to scale challenger brands into household names.

Technology and data are central to the company’s growth strategy. The Data team is developing an intelligent, data-driven platform designed to help optimise and grow e-commerce businesses. It builds advanced automation, decision-support tools and machine learning solutions that generate measurable value across the organisation.

THE ROLE

The company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help modernise its data infrastructure, with a particular focus on migrating legacy pipelines into robust, scalable and modular dbt workflows. You will take ownership of the complete lifecycle of data products, from gathering requirements and designing data flows through to development, testing and production deployment.

Within a Data & Tech team of around 10 people, this is a highly autonomous role requiring strong technical judgement. You will be expected to make decisions around architecture, data modelling, maintainability and performance while ensuring the long-term stability of the company’s data pipelines.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data models
  • Transforming raw data into refined models used by BI and business teams
  • Migrating legacy pipelines into modern and maintainable dbt workflows
  • Designing data flows across sales, advertising, supply chain, finance and customer data domains
  • Taking ownership of data products from requirements gathering through to production
  • Working closely with business stakeholders and product teams to define technical solutions
  • Reviewing code and supporting other engineers during development
  • Using AI and modern development tools to improve productivity while retaining full ownership of the code delivered

YOUR PROFILE

You are an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, Airflow and

dbt. You have a clear understanding of what makes data code maintainable, scalable and reliable, and you prioritise long-term quality over short-term fixes.

You should have :

  • at least a first significative professional Data Engineering experience (not academic)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Strong practical experience with dbt and Airflow
  • Experience designing and maintaining production data models
  • Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas and NumPy)
  • Experience building or modernising cloud-based data pipelines
  • A strong understanding of testing, data quality and software engineering best practices
  • Experience migrating or refactoring legacy data pipelines
  • Fluent written and spoken English

WHY JOIN?

  • Join a successful and rapidly scaling international company
  • Become an early and influential member of a growing Data team
  • Take ownership of high-impact data products and infrastructure projects
  • Lead the modernisation of an established data platform
  • Work on data covering multiple brands, markets and business domains
  • Benefit from a flexible hybrid model with three days of remote working per week
  • Gain significant autonomy over architecture, technical decisions and project delivery
