We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-paced Agile environment, working across modern data engineering solutions using dbt and Databricks.

This is a delivery-focused role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building, developing and optimising data pipelines. We are specifically looking for someone who remains hands-on with development rather than an Architect or Team Lead focused on strategy or people management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and transformation workflows using dbt and Databricks.

• Build high-quality, scalable and reliable data engineering solutions.

• Implement CI/CD practices and automated testing to improve development quality.

• Work within a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with engineering and business teams.

• Apply trunk-based development practices to support efficient and consistent delivery.

• Identify opportunities to improve data processing, performance and engineering standards.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience as a Senior Data Engineer.

• Proven experience with dbt and Databricks.

• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

• Familiarity with trunk-based development and modern software engineering practices.

• Comfortable working in an Agile delivery environment.

• A proactive, delivery-focused mindset with strong technical problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Exposure to AI-related technologies, data products or AI-driven solutions.
