Senior Data Engineer, Health Tech (NYC, Hybrid)

We’re working with several health tech companies in NYC that are building out their data teams, and we’re looking for experienced Data Engineers to join them. You’ll be working with real healthcare data (claims, clinical and patient records) to build the pipelines that power their products, analytics and AI.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing, building and owning reliable data pipelines (ETL / ELT) across large healthcare datasets
• Shaping data models and architecture in a modern cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Databricks
• Working with tools like dbt, Airflow and Spark to keep data clean, tested and on time
• Partnering with analytics, ML and product teams, and mentoring other engineers
• Keeping data secure and compliant, including HIPAA

What we’re looking for

• Healthcare data experience (claims, EHR, FHIR or HL7) is huge bonus points
• 6+ years in data engineering, with experience owning pipelines or a data platform end to end
• Strong Python and SQL
• Hands-on experience with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP or Azure) and a modern data stack
• Happy to work hybrid in NYC, typically 2 to 3 days a week in the office

• Location: NYC, hybrid
• Type: Contract (W2) or Permanent
• Salary: $250,000 base (perm) | Contract rate: $100 to $120 per hour, W2
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship
