The Opportunity: Senior Data Platform Developer

We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Developer to join our engineering team and help build and evolve our data platform and large-scale processing systems.

The role combines backend and API development, data processing, automation, and production engineering, working on systems that continuously collect, process, and distribute large volumes of data.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and backend services
• Build scalable data collection and processing systems
• Develop and improve distributed job-processing pipelines
• Work with browser automation, crawling, and data extraction
• Build integrations with external APIs, websites, and data sources
• Work with queues, workers, concurrency, and asynchronous processing
• Improve system performance, scalability, monitoring, and reliability
• Investigate and solve complex production issues
• Use AI tools to improve development, automation, and data workflows
• Take end-to-end ownership of features and services

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong experience with PHP/Laravel
• Strong experience developing REST APIs and integrations
• Experience with RabbitMQ or similar message queues
• Experience with Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium, Browserless, or similar technologies
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Strong SQL/database knowledge, Redis is an advantage
• Good understanding of distributed systems and high-volume processing
• Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with modern AI development tools
• Fluent English is required
