About the role
As a Senior Data Product Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the Data Product strategy and portfolio within a business domain, shaping how data is used to solve meaningful business challenges and create measurable value.
Whether your domain is Customer, Marketplace, Finance, Procurement, Pricing or Marketing, you will define the product vision, translate complex business challenges into scalable Data Products, and ensure that the solutions we build are adopted and create measurable impact.
Working at the intersection of business, product and data, you will have the autonomy to challenge assumptions, identify the opportunities that matter most, and bring business stakeholders and cross-functional Data & AI teams together around a clear product direction.
This is not a traditional requirements-management role. We are looking for someone who thinks in problems, outcomes and products rather than requests and individual reports.
Our tech environment
You don't need to be a Data Engineer yourself, but you should have a strong understanding of modern data platforms, data models, pipelines and marketing measurement methodologies. You'll be comfortable working closely with technical experts, challenging solutions and translating complex marketing requirements into scalable data products.
Databricks • dbt • Power BI • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Cloud • Modern Data Platforms • Marketing Analytics • Data Products • Jira • Confluence
About your tasks
- Build and shape our new Marketing Data & Measurement team, helping establish the foundations, ways of working and product capabilities needed to support data-driven marketing decisions.
- Own and drive the Marketing Data Product roadmap, translating the measurement strategy defined by Marketing and Marketing Analytics into scalable products and capabilities, including Attribution, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing.
- Own the technical foundation of our Marketing Data Products, working closely with Data Engineering and IT to develop reliable data models, pipelines and integrations of new data sources into our existing data stack.
- Translate business challenges into product opportunities, working with Marketing and Marketing Analytics to understand underlying business problems, prioritize features and continuously improve the performance and adoption of our data products.
- Drive adoption and business value, ensuring Marketing Data Products are embedded into day-to-day marketing decisions and deliver measurable outcomes through clear product metrics, stakeholder feedback and business KPIs.
- Act as the key interface between Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Data Engineering and IT, aligning stakeholders on priorities, dependencies, technical requirements and delivery.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration, working with Product teams, Data Engineers, Analysts and technical stakeholders to turn marketing measurement requirements into scalable, reliable solutions.
- Own backlog management and agile delivery, managing priorities, sprints and stakeholder expectations using Jira and Confluence while balancing new capabilities, technical improvements and operational requirements.
- Enable scalable and reliable marketing analytics, supporting the development of a modern data platform that empowers Marketing Analytics teams with accessible, reusable and trustworthy data products.
- Ensure data quality and governance, establishing clear standards for reliability, consistency and accessibility across all products delivered by the Marketing Data & Measurement team.
About You
- Several years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within Marketing Analytics, MarTech or Data Products, ideally with experience building or leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of marketing and e-commerce, including performance marketing, brand marketing, CRM, customer retention and the role of data in driving commercial decisions.
- Hands-on experience with marketing measurement methodologies, particularly Attribution, Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and incrementality testing, with an understanding of how these approaches support marketing effectiveness and investment decisions.
- Strong understanding of modern data platforms and technologies, particularly Databricks, dbt and Power BI, with the ability to collaborate confidently with technical teams on data models, pipelines and integrations.
- Proven experience working in agile environments, including backlog management, sprint planning and stakeholder coordination using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts and measurement methodologies to senior and C-level stakeholders.
- A hands-on, product-driven mindset, comfortable operating at the intersection of Marketing, Data and IT, challenging requirements and translating business needs into scalable solutions.
- Fluent English and German, with experience in e-commerce, retail or the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry considered a strong advantage.
