Senior Data Quality Analyst at BairesDev

In this role, you'll read specifications and business documentation to establish what data is supposed to represent, then determine whether what the platform actually produced matches that intent. Writing and reasoning through SQL queries yourself, you'll investigate defects through source-to-target reconciliation, tracing exactly where a column value originated. This is your opportunity to be the bridge between business context and technical delivery, bringing curiosity and precision to every question you ask.

What You'll Do

• Read business specifications and documentation to determine expected data behavior.
• Write and reason through SQL queries to investigate defects, including source-to-target reconciliation and legacy versus new logic comparisons.
• Validate transformation correctness, identify incorrect mappings, and spot placeholder or unsourced values.
• Work a defect backlog, reproducing issues, isolating root causes, and routing them to the right engineer with clear, actionable detail.
• Raise clarifying questions with client-side stakeholders rather than assuming business intent.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis.
• Strong hands-on SQL skills for analytical querying and defect investigation.
• Experience with data quality and QA analysis, including validating transformation correctness and identifying incorrect mappings.
• Experience with root cause identification and defect routing, including working a Jira backlog.
• A question-asking working style, raising clarifications when uncertain rather than assuming business intent.
• Strong written and spoken English.
  
  

Nice To Have

• Experience with Databricks, including notebooks, medallion layer navigation, and catalog exploration.
• Background in customer data platform or marketing data domains, including segmentation logic and campaign data.
