Senior Data Stewards

We are looking for Senior Data Stewards to join our client Regulatory Reporting team within the Group Finance department of a leading financial institution. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives in a complex banking environment. As a Senior Data Steward, you will play a key role in improving data management practices, supporting BCBS239 data governance activities, maintaining business metadata, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of regulatory reporting data. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and IT to establish governance standards, resolve data quality issues, and enhance data lineage across the organization. Remote within EU Working hours aligned with the Baltic/European time zone B2B Contract End date: 31 December 2026 Hourly Rate: €35–45/hour Responsibilities Support data governance initiatives across regulatory reporting projects. Monitor, investigate, and resolve data quality issues. Define and maintain data lineage, business glossaries, and metadata documentation. Implement and improve data quality controls and governance processes. Analyze business and technical data requirements. Collaborate with business and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions. Contribute to improvements in data management standards and governance practices. Support regulatory reporting processes and ensure compliance with internal data governance policies. Work with stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and data consistency. Required Skills Experience in Data Governance , Data Stewardship , Data Management , or a similar role. Previous experience within the banking or financial services industry. Strong SQL skills. Experience performing data analysis and validation. Good understanding of data warehousing and reporting concepts. Knowledge of relational database structures. Experience using JIRA , Confluence , and Microsoft Office . Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Nice to Have Experience with regulatory reporting. Knowledge of BCBS239 data governance principles. Understanding of banking products, systems, and business processes. Experience with data lineage frameworks. Experience implementing or working with data quality frameworks.
