Role Description This is a part-time remote role supporting Magnitude Quantity Surveyors Ltd in the delivery of construction consultancy and quantity surveying services. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with cost estimates, measurement and valuation of works, preparation of tender and contract documentation, and data entry related to project budgets and forecasts. The role may also involve maintaining project records, supporting risk assessments, coordinating with internal team members via online meetings, and preparing concise reports or summaries for client review. The team member will be expected to follow established processes, meet agreed deadlines, and contribute to the accurate and efficient administration of projects while working independently from a remote location.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related discipline, with the ability to understand construction costs, measurements, and contracts.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets and basic financial calculations relevant to project costing and budgeting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear documentation, reports, emails, and updates for project stakeholders.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently in a remote setting, and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with construction industry standards, terminology, and processes; prior experience in consultancy or client-facing roles is an advantage.
• Comfort using digital collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, shared drives, project management software) in a remote work environment.
• Relevant academic background such as a degree, diploma, or ongoing studies in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field is beneficial.
• Professional integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting risk reduction and high-quality outcomes for clients.
