Senior Database Administrator (SQL)

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with SQL and SAP to join a project for a client in the healthcare industry.

Contract Type: Permanent Contract | 08:00-09:30 /17:00-18:30 | Hybrid working model

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Key responsibilities:

• Install, configure, upgrade and patch MS SQL Server and SAP ASE
• Implement and regularly test the backup and restore strategy against defined RPO/RTO targets
• Administer high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On AG, log shipping, replication)
• Proactive monitoring, performance tuning, index and statistics maintenance, DBCC integrity checks
• Implement security controls: least privilege, encryption (TDE / Always Encrypted), auditing
• Develop and operate data anonymization / pseudonymization tools on request
• Support ETL and data warehouse workflows
• Capacity planning and forecasting of storage and resource needs
• Automate administrative tasks (PowerShell, T-SQL, SQL Agent)
• Documentation (schemas, configurations, SOPs, runbooks) and regular reporting on performance and compliance

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree completed
• English advanced
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience of SQL and SAP is mandatory
• Power BI, Power Automate, Azure is nice to have
• Proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
