Senior Delivery Manager (Financial services - Global Delivery Organisation)

Join our London team as a Senior Delivery Manager in a hybrid working model. In this senior leadership role, you will spearhead the discovery and initiation phases of complex technology and transformation engagements. You will guide initiatives from the ground up, ensure technical and engineering alignment, manage senior client stakeholders and provide strategic commercial oversight.

Acting as the primary bridge between business objectives, technology strategy and execution, you will define the scope, operating model, solution direction, governance and delivery readiness necessary to set our clients up for seamless execution.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Client Services organization to support the strategic business objectives of the account
• Lead the end-to-end discovery phase to establish a clear project framework, delivery approach, governance model and operating cadence
• Define roles, responsibilities, communication models and decision-making structures to enable effective mobilisation
• Develop comprehensive discovery outputs including problem statements, target-state vision, roadmap options and delivery recommendations
• Guide transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and adaptability
• Oversee technical decision-making during discovery to ensure alignment with target architecture, platforms and long-term strategy
• Leverage a strong understanding of technology stacks, cloud platforms, data and modern engineering practices
• Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable and delivery-ready
• Monitor operational, financial, commercial and strategic aspects of the discovery engagement
• Support budget forecasting, commercial inputs, pricing and P&L awareness for the engagement

Requirements

• Strong background in technology-enabled transformation within consulting or delivery-led environments in Financial Services
• Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Services domain dynamics and industry standards
• Solid understanding of modern technology platforms, cloud platforms and software engineering practices
• Proven experience leading discovery, initiation or mobilisation phases of large-scale technology or transformation programs
• Extensive experience as a senior leader managing large and complex data and AI programs at enterprise scale
• Proven ability to translate data and AI strategies into actionable plans with clear business outcomes and ROI
• Practical knowledge of modern data platforms, AI and Generative AI concepts including machine learning, LLMs and MLOps sufficient to challenge and assess technical proposals
• Awareness of regulatory and ethical considerations in data and AI including data protection and responsible AI adoption
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills backed by experience influencing C-level stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience managing large programs across multiple European markets in addition to the UK
• Familiarity with pre-sales, bid strategy and shaping large-scale data-driven transformation engagements
