Classical craft meets digital fluency. Human judgment at the center of AI-native design.
What are you going to do?
We're looking for a visual designer who is, first and foremost, a brilliant maker. Someone with the eye of an art director and the instincts of a product designer, who understands craft and digital experiences deeply. You'll sit alongside our product designers, who skew more towards UX and product thinking, and our art directors. Your role is to bring those disciplines together and raise the visual and craft ceiling of everything we ship.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to keep doing what they're already doing or outsource their craft to prompt-to-prototype AI design tools. We're building a different way of working that combines the best of people and AI, and we want someone genuinely excited about it, not just tolerant of it.
Additional tasks:
Own the visual and motion craft on the work that matters most: art direction, interface design, typography, motion and the details that separate good from exceptional. Set the bar and help others reach it.
Work with the Design Director to develop the processes and structures that raise the quality of our design work.
Help complete our transition to AI-native design: spec-driven design and development, where the hard human thinking happens up front. You'll build the scaffolding agentic workflows run on, including the systems, specifications and design intent that allow AI to accelerate execution.
Help shape how the wider team adopts spec-driven, AI-native workflows. You won't just apply this way of working to your own output. You'll help others understand it and make it their own.
Structure Figma files so designs are tokenized and machine-readable, and work comfortably within a Git-based workflow.
Vibe-code your way to an idea, prototyping towards a working artifact rather than stopping at a static mockup. You don't need to be a developer, but you're comfortable around code and coders.
Work closely with strategy, design and development, presenting and articulating creative direction to senior stakeholders and clients with clarity and conviction.
Deliver innovative, beautifully crafted work and inspire the wider team to do the same.
Who are we looking for?
Must have: at least five years of agency (or studio) experience as a visual or product designer. In-house only is not enough for this role. Your portfolio shows classical design sensibility, exceptional digital craft and real product depth. You know how to create beautifully crafted experiences for digital platforms. Your work goes beyond polished screens. It demonstrates a strong idea, thoughtful interaction and the ability to carry a visual direction through a complete experience.
As a person, you bring:
Strong visual judgment and the confidence to contribute to concepts and creative direction.
A deep understanding of typography, composition, hierarchy and the details that make an experience feel considered.
An understanding of the role motion plays in digital craft.
The ability to deliver high-quality work while inspiring and raising the standard of the people around you.
Fluency with AI prototyping tools. You can drop into code yourself rather than relying on a prompt for every change.
Comfort with component-based design systems and Git-based workflows.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and presenting to senior clients.
You may be feeling constrained where you are now, frustrated that you can't move at the speed your ideas deserve or that there's no real appetite for new ways of working. You see what AI makes possible and want to work somewhere that takes that potential as seriously as you do.
About the team
We have an innovation mindset and want to work with and for the bold and the brave. We're genuinely excited about what AI opens up for design, and we want people who feel the same way. We're not an agency trying to replace human craft with machine output. We're one that believes the real opportunity is to amplify exceptional people, not automate them away.
We're inventing the next generation of Intelligent Experiences, and we're looking for the best people to help us do it.
Requirements
At least five years of experience as a visual or product designer, including significant experience in an agency environment.
A portfolio that demonstrates classical design sensibility, exceptional digital craft and real product depth.
Strong visual judgment and experience contributing to concepts and creative direction.
A working knowledge of motion design principles and their role in craft.
Fluency with AI prototyping tools, including the ability to work directly in code rather than relying solely on prompts.
Comfort with component-based design systems and Git-based workflows.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and presenting to senior clients.
Pre:
Solid motion design skills, with a strong sense of timing, composition, framing and storytelling.
Experience structuring Figma libraries for tokenized, machine-readable design systems.
Exposure to spec-driven or AI-native design and development workflows.
